When it comes to «award-winning» specialty cheeses, Studer cheesemakers consistently shine with world-class rankings. At this year’s World Cheese Awards in Portugal, around 4,000 cheeses from more than 40 countries competed. A 250-strong jury of experts, trade professionals, and food journalists judged the world’s best cheese creations on quality, appearance, and taste.

«Der scharfe Maxx» is the ultimate favorite and star among the cheeses from Studer cheesemakers. A cheese with character, personality and charm – creamy, pleasantly tangy and melt-in-the-mouth delicious, almost like a fine chocolate truffle. Studer specialty cheesemakers joins forces with Michelin-starred chef Christian Kuchler. Kuchler has been inspired to create new cheese recipes exclusively for Studer.

After winning Gold three years in a row, "Der scharfe Maxx" came away with the top honor at this years World Cheese Awards – Super Gold. The tangy cult cheese from the Studer specialty cheesery convinced the expert jury with its incomparable taste.
